And I also noticed that she has a link on the index to "Belinda's Blog" which is currently empty.
I hope that this will be better than our Prime Minister's lame attempt at keeping a weblog. Why even bother with this if you won't follow the forms? Blogging is a highly personal thing that can let you know the author very well. For a relative unknown in politics like Stronach, this could bridge the gap between her and her potential voters and really convey a message.
Or it could just fall flat and be totally boring.
Daimnation also echoes my other worries as well...
Eleven years ago, the PC party chose another little-known blonde as leader, and that mess is too depressing to discuss further.
She was asked for one single example of a "tough decision" she had made in her previous role as chief executive officer of Magna International, but she could not, or would not, provide one.
Ouch. That just reinforces the impression (unproved) that Daddy (Frank Stronach) was really running the show.

"Belinda" now has some blog entries up complete with sycophantic ready-made comments. I just attempted to leave a comment asking Belinda to stop calling me at home on my unlisted number but my words failed to appear. How mysterious!
Your comments (and a reply! My goodness!) are up on Belinda's blog. As well as some not-too flattering chatter re:her playing the single mother card. Could this potentially be an "honest blog" in terms of comment policy?
We'll see if any of these comments are taken down after the fact...
She did a interview on JACK-FM this morning out here. She came off pretty well, though Larry & Willy aren't exactly your hard news types.
From what I have seen of her platform, she actually might be a bit to the left of Paul Martin, which would make things really interesting. The leader of the Conservatives being more Liberal than the leader of the Liberals.
The basic of her platform are:
1) Pro same-sex marriage
2) Anti-legalization of marijuana, because of the slow up at the border. She freely admits to have used it as a youth.
3) Limited tax deductibility of mortgage interest
4) Deductibility of tuition fees (as opposed to the credit status now?)
5) North American security perimeter.
6) Increased health care money (how this jives with the tax revenue you lose from mortgage deductibility, I'm not sure)

Thanks for letting me know they have belatedly posted my comment and included a reply. The problem is I have already sent three emails to Belinda's info address including one quoting their privacy policy and have yet to receive reply. I have also sent six emails over the last two months on a related matter to Conservative HQ and to the local riding association and these have yet to receive a reply.
