And one would say that if I were American, I would've voted Kerry, as he seems to score closest to me in ideology: but you'd be wrong; which is the problem with relying on people to vote based on plotting the grid and moving yourself into the largest demographic. Having too much political flexibility can make you seem untrustworthy. Politicians should at least seem to have clearly defined positions, not a "what do you want my position to be so you can vote for me" attitude.
That's why I'm convinced he lost. At least with Bush you knew what he stands for.
