Warning: more Canadian politics a-brewing...

I could start hacking away, but I'll leave it short and sweet:

Sheila's still whining.

The former heritage minister and leadership rival to Martin — who has toyed with running for the New Democrats if she can't win in Hamilton — sees this as a sign of desperation. "It tells me that they think Tony can't win," Copps said.

...or that her own party REALLY can't stand her.

  1. Sheila has actually been playing this pretty well. She has already got Paul Martin to make one mistake in guaranteeing her a free ride in Hamilton Mountain, so that she could call him a hypocrite. He should know that Sheila only cares about Sheila, and will take down the party if she has to. There were two ways to play this: 1) Let Sheila and Tony Valeri battle it out and stay out of it, or 2) Let Sheila keep her riding, after the election leak some of the graft from Heritage Ministry while she was in charge. She will either have to resign her seat, or become such a non-entity that the press will not care about her (ie "the disgraced former Heritage minister said...)
